I just received this email from someone and was told to pass it on. But I don’t think anyone would bother reading or registering the forwarded mail in their minds. Just something interesting to share with you people[:
————————————————————–
Death is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death! Make a personal reflection about this….. Very interesting, read until the end…..

It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7): ‘Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sow, that shall he also reap.

Here are some men and women who mocked God :

1. John Lennon(Singer):
Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said: ‘Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him’ (1966). Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

2. Tancredo Neves(President of Brazil ):
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

3. Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):
During a show in Canecio ( Rio de Janeiro ), while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said:’God, that’s for you.’ He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner.

4. The man who built the Titanic:
After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: ‘Not even God can sink it’ . The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.

5. Marilyn Monroe(Actress):
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: ‘I don’t need your Jesus’. A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.

6. Bon Scott(Singer):
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang: ‘Don’t stop me; I’m going down all the way, down the highway to hell’. On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.

7. Campinas(IN 2005):
In Campinas , Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend….. The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: ‘My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You.’ She responded: ‘Only If He (God) Travel s In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here…..It’s Already Full ‘ Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact. The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was broken.

8. Christine Hewitt(Jamaican Journalist and entertainer):
Said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written. In June 2006 she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus. Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and he is still alive.

‘Jesus’

PS: If it was a joke, you would have sent it to everyone. So are you going to have courage to send this?. I have done my part, Jesus said ‘If you are embarrassed about me, I will also be embarrassed about you before my father.’

Bishop T.D. Jakes ’8 Second Prayer.’ Just repeat this prayer and see how God moves!!

‘Lord, I love you and I need you, come into my heart, and bless me, my family, my home, and my friends, in Jesus’ name. Amen.’

Pass this message to 8 people (EXCEPT YOU AND ME).You will
receive a miracle tomorrow. I Hope that you don’t ignore and
let God bless you.

—————————————————————————————-

No, I’m not posting this because I want to receive a miracle – God is a miracle himself. No, I’m not posting because I want people to fear God – We are fearfully and wonderfully made. But don’t you find it interesting how God moves in our lives?

He is alive. And almighty.

Finally back to revive this place a little, sorry was busy for the past weeks due to mid-years, and this short extract from an email I received (:

Who we are today is a direct result of our past. We all have scars and wounds from the words and actions of others and from our own failures and mistakes. But for the Christ-follower this is not the end of the story.

As the Spirit of God uses the Word of God to remake us into new creations, these scars from the past become stepping stones to spiritual maturity. Embrace these top ten principles from God’s word and allow Him to rebuild your battered self-esteem:

10 I am created
For we are God’s workmanship. Ephesians 2:10

9 I am chosen
For we know, brothers loved by God, that he has chosen you…1 Timothy 1:4

8 I am protected
Protect me as you would the pupil of your eye. Psalm 17:8 (NLT)

7 I am complete
His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 2 Peter 1:3

6 I am victorious
In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37

5 I am called
[God] has saved us and called us to a holy life–not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace…2 Timothy 1:9

4 I am forgiven
There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:1

3 I am free
Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. John 8:32

2 I am loved
I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness. Jeremiah 31:3

1 I am accepted!

Let me share a story with you,

Think of the worst day you can remember. Maybe you got into a fight with your best friend (I did), you got really sick (I did), or you were just plain unlucky (I did too!). It probably seemed like you’d never get through it. (I thought so too)

There was another all-time worse day ever. Our perfect, gentle, loving God voluntarily gave up his throne in heaven to come down to the miserable earth full of hate, pollution, sickness, sin and sadness to be mistreated and murdered by sinful people (the same ones he died for). He willingly sacrificed himself to make us acceptable to a holy God.

What exactly did Jesus experience his last day on earth? We get clues from different bible passages. Matthew said they gave him a thorny crown, beat him with whips, made fun of him, spit on him and hit him with a stick. Isaiah added that people pulled out his beard, and when they were done beating him, you could barely tell he was a human being.

Jesus went through all of that so that his worst day ever would become your best day ever. He actually carried all your sorrow and pain, walking through your hard days ahead of you so you wouldn’t ever suffer alone. No matter how lousy your life is at time, Jesus made a way so that you could live with him someday. What a beautiful day that would be!

Anyone interested to know more about Jesus, can feel free to drop a mail at ledbythelight@live.com :)

Ever wonder about the abbreviation A.S.A.P.? Generally, we think of it in terms of even more hurry and stress in our lives. Maybe if we think of this abbreviation in a different manner, we will begin to find a new way to deal with those rough days along the way.

There’s work to do, deadlines to meet;
You’ve got no time to spare,
But as you hurry and scurry-
A.S.A.P. – ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER

In the midst of family chaos,
"Quality time " is rare.
Do your best; let God do the rest-
A.S.A.P. – ALWAYS SAY A PRAYER.

The doctor has discovered you have a serious heart defect. Without surgery, you’ll need oxygen for the rest of your life, and you’ll die within a few years; if you opt for surgery, it’ll be a painful recovery, but you’ll get to live a healthy, normal life. Would the doctor’s promise of pain make you hesitate to go though with the surgery, knowing the lifesaving benefits?

Your spiritual heart was born with many defects – sin, weaknesses, and character flaws. The greatest Surgeon has determined to get rid of your heart defects, you have to undergo surgery. Being cut away from sin is painful at first, but it’s absolutely necessary if you want to become like Jesus and live out a radically changed, healthy Christian life!

Nobody wants to face painful surgery, but God is a very skilled and gentle Surgeon. He gives you the anesthetic of his love and peace to help you through, and he’ll only cut away as much as is absolutely necessary to take care of the problem. He’ll never put you through needless suffering.

God loves you just the way you are, but he loves you far too much to let you stay sick at heart. He wants to make you better so you can have an awesome life with a promising future. And just like Isaiah 66:8 says, God will never bring pain without the promise of new hope being born into your life. :)

Matthew 21:20
“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

NOTE:
Helloooo :DD Please take some time to watch this video! It’ll really help a ton with this post if you watch it. Think about the video a little too[: I must tell you that there are heart-wrenching parts. Don’t worry, this is a much scaled down version. The one I watched at church, I can really feel my heart being ripped when Jesus was whipped.

Have you been falsely accused before? It does feel horrible, doesn’t it?

When Pilate asked the people what crime have Jesus committed, the people only demanded more strongly that Jesus be crucified. The people was all determined to get rid of Jesus.

When He is nailed on the cross, people insulted Him, asking Him where His mighty army was, and why did He not save Himself if He was the Savior.

But Jesus knew that this was His purpose on Earth. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16. He came into this world to be crucified so that His blood will wash away our sins. And when Jesus rise up again, His mission will be accomplished.

When the Roman soldiers nailed Jesus to the cross, Jesus cried out in pain. He came in bodily human form, and not spiritual form. To be whipped, insulted, crucified was not painless just because Jesus was the Son of God.

One of the robbers who was crucified with Jesus admitted that he deserved his punishment, but Jesus is innocent. Indeed.

Jesus was innocent. He knew He was going to be crucified. He knew He was to rise up after 3 days again. And He knew that only with His blood, we will be saved. Do you think Jesus would want to go through the pain if there was a choice? But as much as Jesus was afraid, He did not push away His responsibility. He took them on with such great faith in God. There was nothing He could gain from being crucified. He readily paid the price so that we might have eternal life and not perish.

Today, I do not have any chocolate bunnies to give out. But I do have the best piece of news that anyone can share with you: OUR CHRIST HAS RISEN! AND OUR FAITH IS IN THE GOD ALIVE[:

All your people, behold, the greatness of His love.
Hosanna, Let Your Glory Shine.

Here, I would like to share a few verses with you: Prophesy in the Old Testament & Gospel Account in the New Testament.

Isaiah 53:12
He was numbered with the transgressors.
Matthew 27:38
Two thieves were crucified with Him, on on His right and one on His left

Psalm 69:21
They put gall in my food and gave me vinegar for my thirst.
Matthew 27:34
There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it.

Psalm 22:18
They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.
Matthew 27:35
When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

Psalm 22:16-17
Dogs have surrounded me; a band of evil men has encircled me, they have pierced my hands and my feet. I can count all my bones; people stare and gloat over me.
Luke 23:33-35
But he replied, "Lord, I am ready to go with you to prison and to death." Jesus answered, "I tell you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will deny three times that you know me." Then Jesus asked them, "When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?" "Nothing," they answered.

Isaiah 53:11
After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.
Mark 10:45
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

Psalm 22:1
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, so far from the words of my groaning?
Matthew 27:46
About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?"—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

Psalm 16:10
because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.
Luke 24:46
He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day.

Don’t you think it’s amazing? What has been prophesized before Christ came, was exactly the same as what happened after Christ came! No one but God alone has these type of supernatural power. He gave, so that we could live. Through Him, we gained a new life, and a new being, the righteous died for the unrighteous, and took away all our sins. This Easter remember the sacrifice that brought us with His Grace.

love,
cheryl

Just read a little portion of Isaiah, and it happens to link to the topic of forgiveness. Probably God wants me to share :)

Do you ever feel like you have to be perfect? Maybe your parents expect a lot from you, or maybe you expect a lot from yourself because you never feel quite good enough. Whether it’s grades, performance in sports or music, your job, or just being a good person, maybe you feel like you have to keep trying harder and harder to make God and people think that you’re okay.

Trying to be good enough to please God or people is a dead-end street. In your own power, you can’t do it. God says it’s like carefully growing a bunch of grapevines that still end up dying.

Thankfully, God isn’t looking for perfect people; he’s looking for people who are sorry when they mess up and willing to let him work on their character. He knows you can’t be good all the time, and he doesn’t want you trying to earn his approval. Besides, there’s no use trying because he’s already offered it as a free gift! Because of Jesus taking on your sins and dying for you, God already approves of you just the way you are. Through Jesus, you’ve been made perfect.

Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

God wants you to remember that he alone saves you and makes you a worthy person, not your performance or good works. Now you can relax and shake it off when people put too much pressure on you to be good enough. As far as your heavenly Father’s concerned, you’re already his perfect little child. ^^

God has opened the door, and stretched out His hand towards you, with His ticket to enter His kingdom in His hand. Whether you want to accept it, it’s your choice my friend. :)

YO LOVES! IM BACK! Not tired now. Shall share with you a short extract from the daily bread then.

When Jesus sent His disciples out He gave them this promise: “I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matt 28:20). Literally, the word always means “all the days”, according to the Greek scholars Jamieson, Fausset and Brown.

Jesus didn’t simply say, “always” but “all the days”. That takes into account all our various activities, the good and bad circumstances surrounding us, the varied responsibilities we have through the course of our days, the storms, clouds and the sunshine.

Our Lord is present with us no matter what each day brings. It may be a day of our joy or sadness, of sickness or of health, of success or of failure. No matter what happens to us today, our Lord is walking beside us, strengthening us, loving us, filling us with faith, hope and love. As He envelops us with quiet serenity and security, out foes, fears, afflictions and doubts begin to recede. We can bear up in any setting and circumstance because we know the Lord is at hand, just as He told Paul in Acts 18:10, “I am with you”.

Practice God’s presence, stopping in the midst of your busy day to say to yourself, “The Lord is here.” And pray that you will see Him who is invisible – and see Him, everywhere.

– David Roper

When I read this, I felt an urge to share it with you, that God is telling me to help to pass his message that He will be beside you through it all. So friends, no matter what situation you are in today, always keep it in mind that God will be there when no one else will. Even humans will fail you, and disappoint you, but I can assure you that God won’t!

Lastly, “Seek the LORD while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near.” (Isaiah 55”6) If you face any trouble, and you really have problems settling it, why not try to say a simple prayer and ask God for help? :D

love,

As always, I learnt something valuable from today’s sermon. Pastor Darick shared about the different names of God. We find that God plays different roles in our lives and I’ve come to realise that each and every role is vital.

Let us turn to Psalms 23[:

1. “The Lord is my Shepherd”
We call God Jehovah-Rohi. In our walk of life, we find God leading and guiding us. And even as we face challenges, even as we are at a loss of what to do,the Lord will open doors when we turn to Him.

2. “I shall not be in want”
We call God Jehovah-Jireh. The Lord is our provider. For example, when we are tired and dry in our spirits, God will renew our strength with His as we throw behind our baggage and turn our eyes upon Him.

3. “he makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,”
We call Him Jehovah-Shalom. Have you ever faced with a pressurising situation, but you calmed down after you pray or do time alone with God? I have. I confided in someone and she shared this verse with me: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid (John 14:27). The Lord fills our heart with peace as we submit ourselves and the situation to Him.

4. “he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
God is Jehovah-’Tsidkenu (silent ‘T’). He is a King of righteousness and rejoice in righteous ways. Analogy: Imagine that we are sheep, and in our walk with God, we have run loose and perhaps poked our noses into the dirt. These harmful substances will in time contaminate our minds. But the shepherd carries with Him a bottle of antiseptic, which will cleanse the dirt away. It might not be easy for the Shepherd to apply the antiseptic onto the sheep because the sheep might struggle. However, the Sheperd is determined and will assure us and ensure that we are treated. We have sinned, but God is always there to help guide us back to his paths of righteousness, always there to forgive us for the wrong we have done.

5. “even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me”
He is Jehovah-Shammah. Are you lonely? Perhaps you are going through times of hardship. Be it family issues, school work problems, matters of the heart, trouble with friendship. But no one understands you, even if you have tried to confide in your family and friends? Today, you know that you have God. And not only will he listen to you, understand you, He’ll guide you through this tough time of your life. He’ll open doors for you to pull through this hardship. He’ll renew your heart, soul and mind with strength. And even if you don’t say anything, God knows each and everything you’re going through in life.

6. “your rod and your staff, they comfort me”
The Lord is Jehovah-M’kaddesh. Let’s go back to the analogy again. The rod and staff of a shepherd is to help guide the sheep along protect them from enemies like wolves. It is an instument of protection and discipline. At times, the sheep may be mischievous and they run off, away from the shepherd. But when they fall into ditches and drains and are unable to free themselves, the rod and staff of the shepherd will come into handy. However, sometimes, to free the sheep from it’s position, the shepherd will have to do a painful thing like breaking the leg of the sheep. We may have fallen into traps of Satan, fallen into sin. God will free us from the sin. But sometimes, God may want us to take it the hard way. Someone once told me this when I was going through a very trying period of my life last year: God places different people in our lives to make us who He wants us to be. So let God mould you into His instrument and vessel to do greater things[:

7. “you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”
We call God Jehovah-Rophe. Heal my heart and make it clean. Be it having gone through storms in our life, being hurt by people around us and issues that have been going on. God will be there to touch our wounds and cleanse it, heal it.

8. “surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
The Lord is Jehovah-Nissi. The Lord is our spiritual covering. Some of us may be leading doubles lives: Goody two shoes in church, but we do things we do things we aren’t supposed to do when we’re alone. We know they’re wrong. But we just do it. But if we want God to bless us, walk us through our lives and guide us, we have to stay under the spiritual covering of God.

A name is something we call out for, and the name we call out for is important.
